GIVER’S GAIN IN BUSINESS (Part 5)

Today we are going to discuss how to help your customers to keep them coming back and referring you to everyone they know! Most people think the only thing they can do for their customers is whatever product or service they sell.  You can do so much more for them and you don’t even realize it.

Here is an example.  You sell widgets to a customer who is new in town.  What do people who are new in town need? They need everything, they are new in town, they don’t know where to go for anything!  Luckily they found you!  So here is what you do for them.  You tell this customer that whatever they need, to call you and you will help them find it.  WHATEVER they need, a mechanic for their vehicle, a place to get their hair done, a good restaurant….get the picture?  So many great things come out of this.  One, you have a new person in town who is calling you for all kinds of things, which means they are calling you/thinking about you.  Two, you are helping out your friends in small business around town by letting this new person know about them.  Three, when they have a good experience, they call you again! You always want to be on the minds of your customers, that keeps them coming back and referring you.

Yes, it may seem taxing at first, when you get so many calls, but guess what… when that person is established and starts meeting people, they will be RAVING about you!  They will tell everyone that you helped them so much when they moved to town!  You became their “Welcome Wagon”.  What happens next, well your business is going crazy with all the new business!

Oh, and didn’t it feel great to help that person?!
